Illustrator & Fabricator
Nico Benenati is a multi-disciplinary artist based out of Brooklyn, NY. His work ranges from traditional paint and fabrication to digital illustration and animation.
He graduated from NYU Tisch in 2015, and his stop motion thesis film took him to Laika’s puppet department in Portland, OR. Nico worked on Kubo and the Two Strings and Missing Link and completed a shadow program under the studio’s animation director. After a stop in Atlanta, GA to work on puppets for Bento Box’s Moon and Me, he returned to New York and now freelances on a variety of commercial projects.
In his free time, Nico can usually be found painting in his studio, sunbathing in Coney Island, or trying to keep his dog from chasing street cats.
